Audra's versatility and breadth as a performer is unparalleled. She has won seven Tony Awards, two Grammy Awards, and an Emmy Award. Record-breaking six times winner of her Tony Awards, two Grammy Awards in addition to an Emmy Award she received in 2015 from Barack Obama. She has a home on television, film as well as Broadway. McDonald, who was awarded an Emmy Award nomination back in 1999 for her performance on the HBO adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Wit which was written and performed by Emma Thompson, made her return with the company in 2003 to star in the drama about politics Mister Sterling. The film was created by Emmy Award winner Lawrence O'Donnell Jr. In early 2006 she joined the cast of the The Bedford Diaries on the WB. The Bedford Diaries and over the next season she had an recurring role in NBC's television series Kidnapped. McDonald was awarded a fourth Emmy for her portrayal of Lady Day in Emerson's Bar & Grill on HBO in the year 2016. The Bite was a six episode pandemic themed drama produced in collaboration with Spectrum Originals in collaboration with CBS Studios. McDonald, who first appeared in The Good Wife, a CBS Legal drama The Good Wife as U.S. attorneys Liz Lawrence and Liz Reddick from 2009 until 2018 reprised the characters (now known as Liz Reddick) in The Good Fight in the role of the Paramount+ season regular. McDonald received nominations in the three Critics Choice Award awards. Presently, she is appearing as a guest on Julian Fellowes' historical drama The Gilded Age, which is telecast on HBO.
